Adelynn - 19 months

Welcome to 19 months! She did not want to sit or stand still for the photo shoot and kept running off to play hide and seek with me.
That's her new thing "where'd ya go?" Then when she finds the person or thing she is looking for she says "I find it!" or "I see you" or "here it is."  She has started speaking in sentences a lot lately.  At her school they do story time where her class and the other  class read stories, sing songs and play games.  Her favorites right now are the itsy bitsy spider and the baby bumble bee.  We sing the latter of the two A LOT and when I get to the end and say "OUCH" she will usually exclaim "it stung me!"  She pretty much repeats everything we say.  We are also trying to teach her manners so along with please and thank you she will also say "bless you" when you sneeze and we are working on the concept of "excuse me".  We are also working on covering our mouth when we cough.  She has a little cold right now and a nasty cough so a good time to work on that one.  Along with cold things she is also learning to blow her nose!  If she needs a tissue she will come over and say "nose, nose, nose."  She will usually repeat something over and over again until we understand what it is she wants.  Another new favorite is giving the dogs treats.  She knows where the treat jar is and will say "treat, treat, treat" then followed by "bocha, dandee."  She is also learning to brush her teeth which she LOVES to do.  Pretty much anytime we are in the bathroom she will say "teeth, teeth, teeth" or if she sees the step stool in the guest bedroom we use for her to stand on she will also start chanting teeth.  We brush, spit, rinse our toothbrush off, rinse our mouth out, then dry our mouth and hands off.  I had to reschedule her 18 month check up visit to the doctor (it is later this week) so I dont have the official stats but she is almost 30 pounds!  Wearing mostly 2Ts now and some 3Ts (her jacket).  She still enjoys being carried in the Ergo and so we still go on our daily walks with all the girls.  The cover I had purchased last winter for my Ergo is too small so I made a new bigger one.  I put that on over her then I wear the hubs fleece and zip it up around both of us.  She is so cozy in there she will take a little nap if we are out long enough.  Besides the bitter cold and it getting dark so early I really like walking in the winter.  There arent many people or dogs out so we just get to walk and "be."  It is mucho relaxing and I look forward to that time everyday!!  Ok so here we are...19 months!!
This is her "Cheese" face...we are still working on that one ;)
This is her "show me your muscles" pose :)
Happy little girl!
